Three Cyclone Engineer postdoctoral research associates won research awards and funding from the Iowa State University PostDoc Association. Azahar Ali, postdoc in electrical and computer engineering, won a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Excellence Award. Timothy Morgan, postdoc in mechanical engineering, and Fei Lu, postdoc in materials science and engineering, both have won Postdoctoral Seed Grant funding support.
Chris Rehmann, associate professor of civil, construction and environmental engineering, will receive an Iowa State University Alumni Association Faculty-Staff Inspiration Award, which honors faculty or staff that have had a significant influence in the lives of Iowa State students.
Joy Donald, industrial specialist at the Center for Industrial Research and Service, will receive an Iowa State University Professional and Scientific Outstanding New Professional Award at the university award ceremony on Sept. 23. The award recognizes Iowa State staff members who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments unusually early in their professional career.
