College of Engineering faculty and staff have been named winners of 2020 college awards, honoring their outstanding accomplishments and contributions.
Seven engineering graduate students were the recipients of Iowa State University Graduate and Professional Student Senate awards for excellence in teaching, research and leadership.
Every spring, Engineering Student Council select Cyclone Engineering faculty, staff and students who have demonstrated leadership over the past year.
The College of Engineering Dean’s Leadership Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate juniors and seniors who show exemplary leadership outside of a single department or organization. Madison Drent, junior in materials engineering, and Rachel Schmerbach, senior in aerospace engineering, are this year’s recipients.
Four student-athletes from the College of Engineering were named to the All-Cyclone Team, which honors one student-athlete from each sport who recorded the highest GPA.
Each semester 12 outstanding seniors are selected, one for each major in the College of Engineering. One outstanding senior is named student marshal, representing the college at commencement.
