Four College of Engineering staff were honored with Professional and Scientific Council CYtation Awards for professional excellence and outstanding contributions to Iowa State University.
Shan Jiang’s polymer nanoparticle discovery makes cover of Journal of Colloid and Interface Science
Shan Jiang, assistant professor of materials science and engineering, led a research group that discovered two variables that can be controlled to create certain types of polymers. The results appear on the cover of the March issue of the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science.
ME’s Maxwell wins Honors Parks Award as outstanding faculty member

Hands-on experience has been the key to Sam Simons’ (’18 mech engr) success in the automotive industry. As a student at Iowa State, he studied abroad in Italy, did an internship at Nexteer and a co-op at BMW – turned into a full-time position with the automaker.

Iowa State’s IMSE grad program climbs four spots in 2020 rankings
Iowa State University’s graduate program in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering climbed four spots from last year, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report.
