A new center that will research bioplastics and biocomposites is getting a boost from a planning grant from the National Science Foundation. NSF is giving start-up funding to the Biopolymers and Biocomposites Research Team at Iowa State University. 3D printer ‘invaluable’ piece of technology for students

The College of Design, in partnership with the College of Engineering at Iowa State University, share a 3D printer that is revolutionizing the way students design products. The $170,000 printer is located in Howe Hall and uses an additive process to print products, meaning as it prints projects, it adds materials to create the product.
