Each semester 12 outstanding seniors are selected, one for each major in the College of Engineering. One outstanding senior is named student marshal, representing the college at commencement.
Spring 2020 Cyclone Engineering outstanding seniors have many and wide-ranging accomplishments and honors to celebrate. Among them are a Goldwater Scholar, Honors Program participants, published undergraduate researchers, and an Academic All-Big 12 Team member.
And in a graduation year where resilience was especially needed, many outstanding seniors drew on previous experience overcoming challenges, including immigrating to the U.S., balancing studies and a family, giving studying engineering a successful second attempt and more.
Now the spring 2020 outstanding seniors are on their way to exciting new adventures, from graduate studies here at Iowa State to engineering positions at industry leaders across the nation like Amazon and Collins Aerospace.
