Hans Mueller, sophomore in industrial engineering, has taken his passion for FIRST Robotics worldwide. As a junior in high school, he spoke with over 10 countries’ state departments, including the U.S., about building a Robots Without Borders initiative. After all 10 countries rejected the idea, Mueller didn’t give up – he decided to go bigger, venturing to the U.N. in New York City. Robots Without Borders became a part of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals 2018 under the FIRST Robotics UDEM SDG Alliance.
