Iowa Space Grant Consortium now taking applications for scholarship/fellowship programs

The application period is now open for the 2018-2019 Undergraduate Research Fellowship, Undergraduate Merit Scholarship and Undergraduate Preservice Educator STEM Scholarship programs with the Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC).

A part of NASA’s National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, the ISGC strives to improve Iowa’s future in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and provides outreach activities through numerous programs, including scholarships and fellowships. The Consortium is hosted by the Iowa State University Department of Aerospace Engineering.

Baloon experimemtUndergraduate Research Fellowship Program: The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) will award fellowships to support outstanding undergraduate students pursuing research opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines that support NASA’s mission.

Undergraduate Merit Scholarship Program: The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) will award scholarships based on merit for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines that support NASA’s mission.

Preservice Educator STEM Scholarship: The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) will award scholarships to support outstanding undergraduate students pursuing a degree in preservice education for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields in support of NASA’s mission.

The programs are available for Iowa State University undergraduates and students at other academic affiliates in Iowa who will enroll as full-time students effective August, 2018.

Full details and requirements for all programs are available on the Iowa Space Grant Consortium web site. The application deadline for all three 2018-2019 programs is June 30, 2018.
