ABE graduates awarded fellowships

Three Ph.D candidates from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) were awarded fellowships for the 2013-2014 academic year. Rohith Gali and Xiao Liang were awarded the Guy Fellowship, and John Stinn was awarded the Giese Fellowship.

The Giese Graduate Fellowship was established in memory of Henry Giese, a long time professor in the structures and environment area of the ABE department.  Dr. Giese established the Midwest Plan Service and shepherded many graduate students in the structural design area.

The Harold and Kathryn Guy Fellowship was established to promote research in soil and water conservation.
