APEX, a longstanding summer bridge program for multicultural students, now features an offshoot program, called APEXE.
Within APEX as a whole, 40-50 incoming Iowa State freshmen who apply for the program are annually chosen to participate in the eight week summer program that provides opportunities for course work, dorm-life, and social activities.
APEXE seeks to build upon prior summer engineering programs by allowing APEX to handle logistical tasks, while the College of Engineering will focus more on engineering-related structural activities for students.
