Going off road

In spring 2020, ISU ABE will attain a rare piece of equipment. An off-highway vehicle chassis dynomometer will allow researchers and industry partners to test the all-terrain abilities of anything from a four-wheeler to a combine.

A team of high school students from Story County 4-H, Team Neutrino, designed and constructed a robot to compete at the Iowa Regional FIRST Robotics Competition in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 21-24, 2018. Facilities, faculty and staff bring Ag and Biosystems Engineering to #1

The U.S. News and World Report named Iowa State’s agricultural and biosystems undergraduate program number one among all national universities and first among public universities this September—a tie with Purdue University. Iowa State was ranked number two last year.

Robotic Weeders

A new line of thinking in weed control – small, nimble, and sustainable – is gaining traction.
