This month, the Iowa State University chapter of the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) was awarded a Chapter of Excellence Grant. This grant is awarded by the Mechanical Contractors Association of America. This means that the chapter will get $2500 for operating expenses and $5000 for scholarships for the students in the chapter.
The chapter at Iowa State has earned this grant for several years in a row. In Mar. 2018, the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) awarded ISU MCA with the MCAA Student Chapter of the Year. Brad Perkins, advisor of ISU MCA and senior lecturer of construction engineering, was awarded MCAA Educator of the Year.
