ISU CCEE senior lecturer chosen to leadership role in new chapter of Lean Construction Institute

Larry Cormicle, a senior lecturer of construction engineering at Iowa State University’s Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (ISU CCEE), has been named to a leadership role in the newest division of The Lean Construction Institute (LCI). LCI recently founded a local chapter named the Greater Des Moines Community of Practice.

Cormicle will serve as vice-leader of the group. More information on the chapter can be found at LCI’s website.

On LCI’s website, the group describes itself as follows: “Founded in 1997, Lean Construction Institute (LCI) seeks to improve the construction and design industries through lean approaches to project design and delivery. LCI’s member base is comprised of owners, the design community (architect and engineering firms), general contractors and trade contractors.”
