Kim Pastega discusses Boeing 787 Dreamliner in PBS documentary

Kim Pastega ’91, Vice President of Boeing 787 Production appeared on the three-part PBS series, City in the Sky. The series examines the feat of putting one million people in the air at any given moment, from departure, to 30,000 feet in the air, and landing safely.

The second episode, Airborne, which aired on Wednesday, February 15, explored what it takes to keep planes in the air and safe between departure and landing. The documentary looked at new technology that is changing the way that planes are built. PBS spoke with Pastega who explained the benefits of carbon composite.
