Six engineering college alumni receive honors on October 10, 2014.
At the 2014 Honors and Awards Ceremony, six distinguished engineering alumni will be recognized by Iowa State University Alumni Association and the College of Engineering. The event, which is celebrating its 83rd year, is open to the public and will be held at Benton Auditorium in the Scheman Building on Friday, October 10, at 1:30 p.m.

Wesley F. Buchele
PhD Ag Engineering ‘54
Ames, Iowa
Buchele worked as professor at Iowa State’s Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and created many inventions for the agricultural industry.
Abdel-Aziz Fouad
PhD Electrical Engineering ‘56
Fort Collins, Colorado
Fouad began working as assistant professor in 1960 at Iowa State’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering department and retired as distinguished professor emeritus at Iowa State University.

Engineering Science ’88, MS Biomedical Engineering ’90, PHD Materials Science and Engineering ‘94
Columbia, Missouri
Grant is a professor of bioengineering at the University of Missouri and has issued five patents with three additional pending patents.
John Kaiser
MS Chemical Engineering ‘87
Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania
Kaiser works as global director of cocoa and chocolate process technology for Mars Chocolate and is a lifetime member of the Iowa State Alumni Association.
