ME chair finalists to give seminars February 13, 16

Two finalists for the mechanical engineering department chair position at Iowa State will be on campus the week of February 13-17, 2012.

Melur “Ram” Ramasubramanian, National Science Foundation IGERT program director and professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at North Carolina State University, will give a seminar on February 13, from 10 – 10:50 a.m. in 2004 Black Engineering.

Allison Hubel, professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota, will give a seminar on February 16, from 11-11:50 a.m. in 2004 Black Engineering.

During their seminars, the candidates will discuss their research and vision for higher education in mechanical engineering, as well as take questions from the audience. In addition to the public seminar, the candidates will meet informally with the College of Engineering’s faculty, staff, students, and partners during their campus visit.
