Bruce Thompson died March 7th at Israel Hospice House, Ames, Iowa. Bruce served as an Anson Marston Distinguished Professor in the Aerospace Enginering Department and the Materials Science and Engineering Department. He was Director of the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation at Iowa State University and an influential leader in this field. He was a good friend and colleague to many in the aerospace engineering department and others at Iowa State University.
A gathering of friends will take place on Thursday, March 10, from 5-7p.m. at Reiman Gardens near the Iowa State campus. A memorial service is planned for Friday, March 11, at Collegiate Presbyterian Church located at 159 Sheldon Avenue, Ames, IA.
