AerE to induct three into Hall of Distinguished Alumni

Engineering students receive university awards

Eight engineering students are among the 21 Iowa State students who have received university awards for their leadership excellence. Iowa State’s Anderson returns to space

Clayton Anderson, who earned an Iowa State University master’s degree in aerospace engineering in 1983, blasted back into space aboard Space Shuttle Discovery early Monday, April 5. Anderson was scheduled to do three spacewalks during the 13-day Mission STS-131 to the International Space Station. In 2007, Anderson spent five months at the space station.

Engineering honors students to display research

Several College of Engineering students in the University Honors Program will be among those presenting their research at the fourth annual Symposium on Undergraduate Research and Creative Expression. The symposium will take place in the Memorial Union on Tuesday, April 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Read more here.

ECpE and design grads form video game company

Mike Boxleiter, a 2007 grad from the electrical and computer engineering department, and Greg Wohlwend, a 2008 graphic design graduate, have combined forces to found Mikengreg Games after realizing a common interest when they were both working at the Virtual Reality Applications Center.
