Engineering students receive university awards

Eight engineering students are among the 21 Iowa State students who have received university awards for their leadership excellence. The recipients, their hometowns, and the awards they received are Joseph Cossette (ME4), Rochester, Minnesota, Sandra and Lynn Davis Leadership Award; Debanjan Ghosh (ChE4), Omaha, Nebraska, David J. Henry All-University Leadership and Academic Excellence Award; Ryan Hall (EE1), Elko, Minnesota, Tze-Yen Teoh Sophomore Leadership Award; Jacob Hemberger (ChE3 and biology), Bettendorf, Iowa, Junior Leadership Award; Taylor Hopper (CE4 and business administration), Wallingford, Iowa, Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior Award, Benjamin Hucker (CE4), Ottawa, Illinois, Sesquicentennial “Learning to Live a Life” Award; Carl Kirpes (ME/IMSE3), West Des Moines, Iowa, Charles F. Frederiksen Leadership Award; and Paige Ledger (IMSE4), Williamsburg, Iowa, David and Ellen Raisbeck Leadership Award.
