Zhongming Fan (’19 Ph.D. mat sci engr) earned an honorable mention for the Zaffarano Prize.
The Zaffarano Prize is awarded annually to graduate students showing exceptional performance in publishing research in academic journals. Selection is based on both the quality and quantity of their publications.
“The Ph.D. phase of my career was topped off with the amazing Zaffarano Prize. It will be a reminder of my memory about ISU, all successes, failures and growth. This honor will only make me more humble proceeding along the academic road – a good start deserves continuous progression,” Fan said.
During Fan’s impressive graduate school career, he produced 24 research articles and was the first author on ten. Fan was also the receipt of the Graduate College’s Research Excellence Award.
Fan studies antiferroelectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric ceramics. Fan is currently a postdoctoral scholar at Penn State University.
