The Associated Schools of Construction competition team from Iowa State University (ISU) just returned from their Region 4 Competition with awards in tow. The teams placed as follows:

  • Design-Build – 1st place
  • Specialty – 1st place
  • Commercial – 2nd place
  • Heavy-Civil – 4th place

Each year in October, the North Central Region of the ASC meets in Nebraska City, Nebraska, for its annual conference and competition.

Events include the ASC Region 4 midyear meeting, leadership breakfast, and the 26th Annual Construction Management Student Competition.

Competition winners from Iowa State were competing in the commercial new construction division, design-build division, heavy highway division and the specialty division.

Beth Hartmann, a teaching professor in construction engineering, advises the team. ISU CCEE students have earned a total of 51 first-place finishes since the first student competition in 1994.
