Sara Weyer, junior in agricultural engineering, (second from right) has been elected secretary of the ASABE International Preprofessional Community, the undergraduate division of the professional organization for agricultural and biosystems engineers.
During the 2018-1019 term, Weyer will be part of the executive leadership team that leads ASABE IPC activities, including planning educational opportunities for students at the ASABE annual meeting, organizing ASABE student competitions and communicating with local student ASABE chapters.
“We hope to continue strengthening communication between collegiate ASABE chapters and the national organization, along with developing some new professional development resources, so that student members can get the maximum educational and networking benefits of membership,” says Weyer.
