ABE graduate student Brian Dougherty named 2018 Nuffield International Scholar

The Nuffield International Farming Scholars program announced that Brian Dougherty, an ABE graduate student pursuing his MS in Land and Water Resources Engineering, has been selected as one of two 2018 Nuffield Scholars following a competitive process.  According to the news release, Dougherty will “represent the nation in this global scholarship initiative focused on building capacity in farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals around the world.”  Ed Kee, President of the Nuffield International USA Advisory Board, stated that “Brian is excited and ready for a great Nuffield experience and has expressed his goal of bringing back new knowledge to the benefit of Iowa’s agriculture.”  Dougherty’s major professor is ABE’s Matt Helmers.
