Rachael Barnes, a senior in biological systems engineering, won best poster in an undergraduate and graduate student poster competition at the 2017 Borlaug Lecture on Oct. 16. The competition was sponsored by Iowa State’s Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition and Nutritional Sciences Council for posters about research in the area of world food issues.
Barnes received her award and was congratulated by World Food Prize Laureate Akinwumi Adesina and Iowa State Interim President Benjamin Allen.
