The College of Engineering’s associate dean for academic affairs and mechanical engineering professor Sriram Sundararajan will give a seminar to scientists and engineers alike at this year’s annual AAAS meeting this month in Boston. The meeting is themed “Serving Society through Science Policy”, and Sundararajan will speak out about how Iowa State’s researchers learn not only things in their field, but also about public engagement. Sundararajan’s seminar is entitled “Scientist Motivations, Support and Challenges for Public Engagement.”
