An evening of information and personal development awaits Iowa State chemical and biological engineering students in the inaugural Chemical and Biological Engineering Showcase.
The October 27 event will fill numerous rooms on the first floor of Sweeney Hall on the Iowa State Campus with speakers, panelists, displays and more presenting information on a multitude of topics, including a tech talk competition; student organization booths; faculty presentations; research posters; graduate student panels; study abroad opportunities; a Ph.D. panel; how to get involved in research; and more, with many sessions held concurrently. The evening will run from 6-9 p.m. Fazoli’s will cater free food.
Showcase is organized and sponsored by student organizations American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Iowa State chapter; Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Organization (CEGSO); National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) Iowa State chapter; and Omega Chi Epsilon (OXE), The National Honor Society for Chemical Engineering.
