The Department of Aerospace Engineering is proud to announce that Ying Zhou has been awarded the Research Excellence Award for summer 2011. Presented by the Graduate College and the College of Engineering, the purpose of the award is to “recognize graduate students at the time of their graduation for outstanding research accomplishments as documented in their theses and dissertations. These students are also expected to be academically superior and able to not only do research but develop a well-written product.
Ying Zhou a recent graduate has been working under Dr. Zhi J Wang during his time. Dr. Wang explains how the research Zhou conducted during his time with the department, resulted in several journal publications, multiple presentations at AIAA meetings, a strong work ethic, and high academic achievements.
