Two named professorships have been established from a bequest from the estate of Roger and Carla Wilkinson of Long Branch, New Jersey. Roger Wilkinson was a 1924 electrical engineering graduate of Iowa State, who also received his PhD in 1950 from the university.
The inaugural recipients of the Wilkinson Professorship are Nicola Pohl, professor of chemistry and chemical and biological engineering, and Krishna Rajan, professor of materials science and engineering and the director of Iowa State’s Institute for Combinatorial Discovery.
