Iowa State University’s College of Engineering maintained its overall position in U.S.News & World Report‘s 2010 edition of “America’s Best Graduate Schools.” With a rank of 42nd nationally, the annual publication placed the college in the top 25 percent of all engineering graduate programs. Among public institutions, Iowa State ranks 24th overall. Five of the college’s eight departments also ranked in the top 25 percent of their respective disciplines. Leading the college, the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering ranked third nationally overall and second among public universities. Programs representing all academic units of the college placed among the top 50 in the nation in their respective disciplines.
