Two ABE graduate students won national scholarships at the recent Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) conference. ATMAE sets standards for academic program accreditation, personal certification, and professional development for educators and industry professionals involved in integrating technology, leadership, and design.
Michael P. Thornton, a doctoral student in Industrial and Agricultural Technology, was awarded the Clois E. Kicklighter Doctoral Student Scholarship Award. The $2500 award is given to doctoral students in the areas of technology, applied technology, engineering technology, who are preparing for a career in technology and have exhibited leadership potential and interest in providing national leadership to the field of technology in the future.
Saxon J. Ryan, a master’s student in Industrial and Agricultural Technology, was awarded the Kate and Cliff Standberg Master’s Student Scholarship Award. The $1000 award is given to master’s students planning a career in technology, who have exhibited leadership potential in the field of technology.
