Timothy Ellis, associate professor in civil, construction and environmental engineering at Iowa State University, was recently appointed executive editor of Water Environment Research journal. Ellis was the associate editor for the past year, until he was appointed the journal’s top editorial position in early October. “I look forward to seeking out critical reviews and making them more easily accessible to the audience.” Ellis said.
In addition, Ellis was recently awarded Outstanding Government Civil Engineer from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Iowa Section. The award, presented to him on September 12, recognizes significant contributions in public service engineering. Since becoming an Iowa State faculty member in 1995, Ellis has lent project expertise in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Hungary, Taiwan, and China, as well as locations throughout Iowa and the U.S.
