Congratulations to the spring 2013 graduating class from ABE!
The department celebrated the seniors in a casual reception Tuesday, April 30.
Students, faculty and staff shared their favorite memories of this remarkable group of future alumni. The group laughed at funny study abroad stories, tales of late night and early morning study sessions, and an anecdote about a vending machine mishap.
Many graduates already have job prospects and interviews lined up post-graduation. A few plan to stick around the department for an advanced degree. Everyone was encouraged to stay in-touch and wished well, no matter how far from Iowa State University they venture.
Dr. Steve Mickelson, ABE department chair, spoke to the students for the first time as future colleagues.
“We really do care about your success. We wish you luck and hope you come back to share your successes with us – in your career and in life,” said Mickelson.
