Iowa State’s electrical and computer engineering professors, Joseph Idziorek and Mark Tannian, have been researching cloud computing and the security issues it may face. Cloud computing, the use of remote computers accessed via the Internet to store, manage, and process data, is becoming more and more popular as the technology advances, but many are concerned about the security of their e-mail, data, and other personal information. Attempting to get a better understanding of cloud computing and how to make it more safe for users, Idziorek and Tannian have devised of a set of six aspects of security.
