Project Lead the Way is a program aimed at giving students a head start on a career in engineering. Now, two students in the program have been honored with an extraordinary opportunity to pursue their dreams.
Sioux City’s Joe Chavez, senior from North High, and Noel Gonzalez, senior from East High, have each received full ride scholarships to Iowa State, not just for one year, but if they keep their grades up, it would pay for their education all the way through their Doctorate. Joe Chavez is planning to go into Industrial Engineering, while Noel Gonzalez wants to be a civil engineer.
