The Iowa State University College of Engineering was recently named a preferred provider of online education at the Boeing Company. This agreement highlights the long-term relationship that has existed between Iowa State and Boeing.
“The college has done a wonderful job serving traditional students who can come to campus and do their learning within the classroom,” said Tom Brumm, professor in-charge of online learning. “Through partnerships such as the one we have formed with Boeing, we can approach a greater number of students and give them an opportunity to advance their education and skills while still working in industry.”
As a preferred provider, Iowa State is on a list of select universities that offer Boeing employees coursework that is eligible for funding from the company.
“Through continued focus on growing the college’s education, research, and extension programs, we are building strategic relationships within industry that will help us better fulfill our mission,” said College of Engineering Dean Jonathan Wickert. “We look forward to working with Boeing and other companies to offer their employees valuable education that can be applied in the workplace and advance the engineering profession.”
