2011 Women Impacting ISU Calendar unveiling

The 2011 “Women Impacting ISU” calendar will be unveiled and distributed for free on Wednesday, December 8, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union. The event is free and open to the public.

The calendar features six students and six faculty and staff members that have been prominent female figures at Iowa State this year. Of the 12 honorees, two have ties to the College of Engineering.

Rachel Goldsmith, graduate student in civil, construction, and environmental engineering and Lora Leigh Chrystal, program coordinator for the Program for Women in Science and Engineering, will be featured on the calendar.

The 12 women will be honored by the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics. This is the fifth year the calendar has been awarded.
