Srinivas Aluru, Ross Martin Mehl and Marylyne Munas Mehl Professor of Computer Engineering, is on the team of researchers who have developed methods for the assembly of sequence data and conducted much of the ongoing functional analysis work on the completion of the maize genome sequence as part of a multi-institutional effort led by the Genome Center at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, and including the University of Arizona, Tucson, and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York.
