Ultra-high performance concrete innovation and collaboration at international interactive symposium

The third International Interactive Symposium on Ultra-High Performance Concrete brought together nearly 300 UHPC researchers, engineers, industry representatives, and students in Delaware – but UHPC research and industry leadership in the state of Iowa stood strong at the event.

Fynn Reinbacher fires up oxy-fuel combustion project in Gas Turbine Industrial Fellowship

Fynn Reinbacher, a Ph.D. candidate in mechanical engineering and a graduate assistant in CoMFRE affiliate James Michael’s research group, was a Gas Turbine Industrial Fellow at Southwest Research Institute. Reinbacher focused on three projects in oxy-fuel combustion, contributing unique multi-phase flow research expertise he developed at Iowa State.

BioMaP undergrad research program underway

Twenty-one undergraduate students from Iowa State and around the nation are ready for a summer of hands-on research in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) with the Biological Materials and Processes Research Experiences for Undergraduates (BioMaP REU) program.
