CCEE welcomes 2025 Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni inductees

Author: Anna Keplinger

Each year, Iowa State University’s Department of Civil Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) honors alumni for their contributions to their field, professional achievements, service to their communities, and high degree of integrity and character through two different recognitions.

The Hall of Fame is a lifetime achievement award recognizing individuals known for leadership and excellence with impact on the civil, construction or environmental engineering profession. The Distinguished Alumni Award honors significant industry impact through professional achievement and service. In 2025, one alumni will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and nine will be honored as Distinguished Alumni.

“We are proud to highlight this group of Cyclone alumni comprised of leaders, mentors, teachers, and innovators locally, nationally, and internationally recognized for their expertise and impact in areas like engineering education, construction innovation, soil stability, business, emergency response, wastewater and research,” said Greenwood Department Chair and Professor David Sanders.
