Joins Iowa State from: Global Head of Value Stream Integration positions at Rolls-Royce Aerospace, where I will continue to work while teaching at Iowa State.

What kind of classroom and teaching experience do you look forward to creating at Iowa State?

I want to inspire the next generation of engineering leaders to continuously drive to improve their organizations and make a positive impact on those around them. I aim to create a classroom atmosphere that fosters collaboration and individual expression, helps students develop the skill to explain complex ideas with simplicity, and is engaging and interactive, whether it’s a classroom of 20 or 200.

What drew you to join Iowa State?

I am excited to give back to a university that has been very impactful to me growing up in eastern Iowa through the 4-H Extension Program, as a Iowa State student involved with clubs on campus (e.g., ISUCF”V”MB, NSCS, IISE, Engineers’ Week), and as an alumni who stays involved in outreach and networking opportunities. Plus, we are a Cardinal and Gold family: my father, Norm Voelker, is a member of the class of ’78  (dairy science), and my husband, Keon Stallard, earned his MEng in ’18 in energy systems engineering!
