IE student-athlete sets school record in softball

An industrial engineering student-athlete is now Iowa State softball’s all-time career leader in saves. Emma Hylen, a senior pitcher, became Iowa State softball’s all-time career save leader after helping the team to nab a 7-5 win over Harvard University last weekend. IE’s Hylen pitches win over Hawkeyes

Emma Hylen, a junior in industrial engineering, pitched the win in last night’s 4-2 victory over their in-state rival Iowa Hawkeyes. Hylen pitched all 7.0 innings, giving up just two runs on five hits including six scoreless frames to close the game.
