The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) is excited to announce  Joanne Kuntz as a Student Services Coordinator in the advising office. She looks forward to growing into her role and making a difference in students’ lives.

Below are some questions we asked Kuntz when she got the position:

Q: What inspired you to become a part of ABE?

A: “I previously worked a job that required the hiring of students. I enjoyed getting to know the students and helping them through the hiring. Combining that with my love for agriculture (coming from a background in agriculture), it was a win-win situation. I also have a son that has graduated with a degree in Agricultural Systems Technology and another that is working on the same degree.”

Q: What is the most significant impact you want to leave behind on students and the department?

A: “I want the students to feel welcome and to know that we will always be here to help in any way we can. Watching the students grow, figure out what they want to accomplish, and succeed is so rewarding! Hoping that we can leave a very positive impression on them so that they can look back in the future and know we made an impact on their success.”

Q: What is your favorite part of this position?

A: “My favorite part of this position is getting to know the students and staff and being part of a great team that cares and is passionate about helping the students succeed.”
