This scholarship is a highly competitive one-time award of $1,000 that is given to the student who best represents the goals and mission of USRA and its scholarship donors. The USRA Scholarship Program provides college scholarships to students who have shown a career interest in the physical sciences or engineering with an emphasis on space research or space science education. Successful past recipients have come from many academic disciplines but all have demonstrated the academic achievement required for the scientific workforce of the future, and a passion for space exploration research or space-related education. The USRA Education Scholarship is a general space-related scholarship that receives its funding from friends of USRA who support undergraduate science and engineering education.
