ECpE professor working to develop ultrasound to locate breast cancer
Tim Bigelow, an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is on a team of researchers working to make biopsies an unnecessary procedure. A noninvasive ultrasound would take the place of a biopsy to determine whether or not a breast tumor is benign or malignant. An Iowa State Daily article tells the story.
