IMSE professor recognized for being a valuable resource to international students

The International Student Council recently named Carolyn Heising the 2015 Faculty/Staff Member most dedicated to Cultural/International Enhancement.

Heising is a professor emeritus in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering. Throughout the years, she played an active role in helping Hindu YUVA establish itself as a new organization at ISU, and has been involved in international and multicultural events all over campus.

The award is given to a faculty or staff member who has assumed an active role in providing student support, served as an invaluable resource for a multicultural organization and its respective members, and has demonstrated a commitment to cultural education and awareness. Heising was presented with the award during the ISC Award Ceremony on April 24, 2015.

Heising said she was “delighted to be receiving the award.”
