FPEF Awards Scholarship to Andrew Hansen, Iowa State University

The Fluid Power Educational Foundation (FPEF) Board of Trustees awarded Andrew Hansen, mechanical engineering senior, a $2,000 scholarship. Mr. Hansen was one of the top eight (8) students and received the distinguished FPEF scholarship underwritten by Danfoss, Ames, Iowa. Hansen was formerly enrolled in ABEME 413 taught by Dr. Brian Steward, professor of agricultural and biosystems engineering.

“A minimum GPA, an essay, and three letters of recommendation were required from each applicant. The Board of Trustees is pleased to award these scholarships to students of such high caliber,” said Patrick J. Maluso, CFPAI/AJPP, CFPS, CFPMHM, FPEF Chair. “Our goal is to help young people enrolled in high schools, technical colleges and engineering schools pursue their interests in fluid power.”

The FPEF awarded twenty (20) scholarships totaling $40,000 for the 2015 school year to students pursuing fluid power technology fields of study.

The Fluid Power Educational Foundation is a non-profit foundation committed to stimulate, advance, and support the science of hydraulic and pneumatic technology through educational initiatives at all levels.
