Distillers Grains Symposium Set for May 14 and 15

The Distillers Grains Technology Council, based at Iowa State University, will host its annual scientific meeting this May in Irving, Texas.

“The symposium will provide the latest information and issues on distillers grains marketing and merchandising, animal nutrition, processing technologies and governmental regulations,” said Kurt Rosentrater, executive director of the Distillers Grains Technology Council and an assistant professor of agricultural and biosystems engineeringat Iowa State.

The 18th Annual Distillers Grains Symposium will be held May 14 and 15 at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas. The main part of the symposium will be scientific presentations by university researchers, and representatives from industry and governmental organizations.

The Distillers Grains Technology Council came to Iowa State last year when Rosentrater was named its executive director and chief executive officer. It is a non-profit organization, founded in 1945, that works to educate livestock feeders and distillers grains producers, to improve the value and utilization of distillers grains in animal feeds.
