Des Moines Area Community College and Iowa State University are co-sponsoring a Discover Engineering Day in April.
High school students considering a career in engineering and their parents are invited to attend the free, three-hour interactive program that will allow students to experience activities performed by professional engineers.
During the program, planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 2 at the FFA Enrichment Center on the DMACC Ankeny Campus, students will:
• Learn about several different engineering careers.
• Take part in hands-on interactive engineering activities and competitions.
• Meet engineering professionals and college students.
